Holiday pine cone goes up in Flagstaff
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — A holiday tradition gets underway in Flagstaff Friday with the annual “hanging of the pine cone.” It’s become quite the New Year ’s event in Flagstaff, as the pine cone hanging outside the old Weatherford Hotel drops to ring in the New Year.
